During the month of July people of Solukhumbhu Region celebrates different celebrations to worship their clan god. Solukhumbhu Region is filled with about 80% Buddhist community. Pikey Peak visualizes majestic view of the Everest Himalayan Range as well as Numbur Chulli. During this trek you can see and visit the ancient Buddhist Monastery of Thupten Chholing and enjoy the unique Sherpa culture. Details Trek Itinerary for 10 Days

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)

On the first day after your arrival to Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), our representatives warmly welcome you with great respect and greetings along transfers you to a fine tourist hotel. We also hold a short meeting at our head office to introduce you to our trekking members and we discuss regarding our upcoming trek too.

Day 02: Fly to Phaplu (2,413 m) and trek to Chayalsa (5 hrs)

We fly to Phaphlu, Himalayan foothills and then start our trek into the Solu region. The views from the flat surface are astonishing since it offers vivid views of terraced hills and the gigantic Himalayan. Also, you can see superb sight of Sherpa communities, go around the local market in Salleri and visit local monasteries including Chilsa monastery. Stay overnight in lodge

Day 03: Trek to Kerung (2,700 m)

Today, on our way to Kerung, you can see Tamang, Sherpa and Magar culture. And, you can also enjoy the views of striking sceneries of higher peaks and landscapes. Going around monasteries and Buddhist stupa at Kerung is the fascinating part. Overnight at in lodge

Day 04: Trek to Jhapre (2815 m) 4 hrs

After trekking for about six hours from Kerung, you arrive at Jhapre. En route to Jhapre you will see wild orchids, stunning landscapes all along the Solu Okhaldhunga border. Here too, you will visit around monasteries and Buddhist stupa. Overnight stay in lodge

Day 05: Trek to Pikey Base Camp (3640 m) 5 hrs approx 15km

We will wake up in the early morning to view the first golden rays of the sun falling on the silver lining of snow-capped mountains. Relishing the view, we will continue our trek along a dusty road for some time and then start walking uphill until reaching Bhulbule. From here, the trail becomes steep and ascends through the rhododendron forests and small settlement areas of Lhamuje. The trail beyond Lhamuje opens out to reveal a pasture where we can see grazing Yaks. We will cross a long Mani wall and climb along the winding road to Pikey Base Camp. We will visit the Yak Cheese Factory and can enjoy the magnificent views of the majestic mountains surrounding the valley.  Stay overnight in lodge

Day 06: Trek to Pikey peak and continues trek to Jase Bhanjyang

The day begins with an early morning trek along the steep rocky ridgeline to the Pikey Peak (4065m). We can marvel on the gorgeous sunrise view over the mountains like Mt. Everest (8848m), Number Chuli (6959m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m), Khatang (6853m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Manaslu (8163m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m) and Langtang. Capturing the beautiful views in our cameras, we will descend to Junbesi followed by the descent to Lamjura. Crossing many Mani walls and Chortens on our way we will reach Junbesi. We will visit an old monastery situated in this village and enjoy the beautiful view of Numbur Himal in the North. Trekking ahead we arrive at the saddle called Jase Bhanjyang and from here you can take a shortcut which in an will let you arrive at Junbesi. Overnight in camp

Day 07: Trek to Junbensi

Today, we head off to reach Junbesi. On the way we trek up to Pikey Peak where you will witness sunrise view and Himalayan range from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri as well as Everest. After you pass the Pikey peak you trek down all the way through distinctive landscape to Junbesi valley. Overnight in one of the guesthouse

Day 08: Trek to Phaplu (2380 m)

After visiting Thuptenchholing Monastery and observing typical Tibetan medicinal therapy at Junbesi village, you trek to Phaplu which takes around six hours. Here you can taste tasty local food and drink and participate in Sherpas cultural program. Overnight at Guesthouse

Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu

After early morning breakfast we take a 25-minutes amazing scenic fly back to Kathmandu. In the evening we host a farewell dinner in one of the finesh resturant in the town.

Day 10: Departure Day
On last day managing your short time, you can go shopping to collect souvenir for your friends and family members.  We help you with your necessary arrangements and flight booking along our private vehicle transfers you to the airport focusing departure time. Well-wishers and representatives will be there with greetings to wish for you and your safe steps ahead.

Best Months for Pikey Peak Trek

The Pikey Peak weather is superb during the early spring season ( March, April and May). In early spring, the weather is great for trekking in Nepal and it is also the time for the blossom of rhododendron flowers, and green environment everywhere in the Trekking trails to Pikey Peak. September to November is Best Months for Pikey Peak Trek of the Himalayas view with mix of local festivals.

If you are looking for winter trekking in Neapl months of December, January and Feburary is best for you. Pikey Hill (Peak) covered with snow, Traditional food in warm dining adds more joy for Pikey Peak Trek in winter season. If you love to play and trek in snow It is the Best.

Pikey Peak Trek is one of the best winter trek this is also another great time for trekking. The trekking trails are less crowded with mostly clear weather.
