TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) Card is required for any Trekking Tour in Nepal as TIMS CARD helps Trekker to ensure the safety and security during Trekking in Himalayas.

Required Documents to Issue The TIMS Card

  • A copy of Passport
  • 2 Passport Size Photograph

How much does TIMS Card cost?

  • Nepali Rupees 1000 (About USD 9)  per person per Trekking Area (For those trekkers who organizes Trekking Trip through Registered Trekking Agency)
  • Nepali Rupees 2000 (About USD 18) Per person per Trekking Area (For those Trekkers who Hike to Himalayas individually)

How to Get TIMS Card

Registered Trekking Agency issues TIMS card for thier Trekkers while Trekking Trip is organized through Trekking Agency, But,  Trekkers who is willing to Trek in Himalaya ownself without booking the Trip at registered Trekking Company, must visit Nepal Tourist Board, located at Bhikutimandap, Kathmandu to get TIMS Card. Nepal Tourism Board is 30 minutes walk away from Tourist Hub Thamel. Follow the Google Map Direction to reach at Nepal Tourism Board.
