Manaslu Trekking has only recently been the restricted and opened to international tourism. Located in the central Gorkha district bordering Tibet, the region is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. Manaslu trek offers the dedicated trekker a genuine adventure into a remote wilderness, untouched by the effects of tourism.

The trek circumnavigates the mighty Manasulu (8,156m), the eighth highest mountain in the world. Manaslu Trek start from the fascinating old city of Gorkha, the ancient kingdom of the Shah Dynasty that has a mixed Hindu and Buddhist culture. We follow the course of the Buri Gandaki River valley, crossing its thundering waters on various types of rope and suspension bridge, passing underneath towering rock cliffs, and through dense jungle. The topography changes each day, as we ascend through a number of climatic zones into rugged territory. We soon join the barren lunar landscape of the Tibetan plateau, where monasteries, temples, chortens and mani walls line the trail. The Larkya La is our high point of the trek at 5.235m from where we gain unsurpassed views of Himlung Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II.

Day 01 :Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Reach Kathmandu via respective airlines at the airport terminal meet our Adventure Great Himalaya staff with complimentary transportation to hotel.

Day 02 : In Kathmandu withprepare for Trekking.
Today is your free day. We will make you you Manaslu permit. and if you are intrested you can go Kathmandu city tour. Hotel and Breakfast

Day 03 : Drive to Arkhet by Bus / Jeep Then Trek to Sotikhola/ .730 m – 07 hrs drive, 3 hour trek.
Beginning this first day journey with a long scenic drive to Arkhet enjoying the Himalayan mountain views over green hills, drive continues on the main highway to Malekhu town from here our route diverts over the Trisuli River to Dhading – Besi and then on the dirt road to the first overnight camp at Arkhet village. After drive we trek to Sotikhola which follows Buri Gandaki River upstream then into thick forest of Sal trees here onwards for few days in warmer areas, as the trek progress with fabulous view of Ganesh II at 7,118 m and Ganesh IV- 7,104 m.Trek continues on the riverbank passing Arkhet Bazaar, then climbing to a small settlement for overnight stop at Soti Khola. Day 04 :Trek to Machha khola 930 m – 05 hrs.
From Soti khola village walk leads to a descend along the river bank passing several tea shops and coming across mule caravan on the way towards Machhakhola, This nice day walk leads to a suspension bridge over Nauli-Khola and to Khanigaon, then reaching at bridge over Machhakhola after the bridge on the uphill trail reaching at Machha Khola for overnight stop.This area popular for fishing this is why it's called Machha khola meaning fishing stream.

Day 05 :Trek to Jagat 1,410 m – 06 hrs.
After a nice morning journey continues to a small Khorla Beshi village and towards Tatopani with natural hot spring from here trek through Dovan and Yaruphant village, then following the Buri Gandaki River and over the bridge coming at a large village at Jagat for overnight stop.

Day 06 :Trek to Dyang 1,800 m – 06 hrs.
From here onwards heading towards cooler mountain area to Dyang village and beyond morning walks follows the river, passing several small scattered farm villages of Sidibas Bazaar. Then climbing uphill and crossing a small suspension bridge at Nagjet and reaching the Philim village with a small primary school supported by Japanese people after Philim trekking through terrace field of wheat, barley then with an uphill on a rocky ridge as walk passes a bamboo forests and climbing to reach Deng village for overnight stop.

Day 07 :Trek to Ghap 2,160 m – 04 hrs.
On leaving Dyang village a slow descend along the riverbank reaching at Bihi Bazaar, from this village onwards which is near to the Tibetan border, as one can observe a Tibetan influence traditions and culture on this area and beyond of upper Manaslu and Gorkha region, walking for few hours to overnight halt at Ghap village.

Day 08 :Trek to Lho 3,180 m- 06 hrs
Morning trekking to cross Budhi Gandaki river and passing by few small settlements with terraced fields then reaching at Numrung village with superb views of Mt. Manaslu North Face with other tall peaks, then walking through several small villages like Banjham, Sho, then walking on the winding uphill for few hours through Shrip and then towards overnight atop at Lho Bazaar.

Day 09 :Trek to Samagaon 3,530 m – 06 hrs.
As the walk progress reaching slowly towards higher Manaslu at Samaagoan and further to Larkya phedi, at first morning begins with a stunning sunrise views over the striking Mt. Manaslu with ample time to capture this awesome scenery, then heading towards Samagaon passing through rhododendron forest, as the walk leads higher terrain one can observe change in landscapes and sparse vegetation. Walking for few hours on debris of Phungen Glacier then finally reaching at Samagaon village for overnight stop.

Day 10 :Rest day at Samagaon for short hikes and acclimatization.
A complete free day on this high area for acclimatization and short walk around this interesting village with Tibetan Buddhist religions and culture with old traditions.

Day 11 :Trek to Samdo 3,860 m / 12,660 ft -05 hrs.
After a wonderful time in Samagoan morning walk starts towards Samdo passing traders coming from Tibet with yaks laden with Tibetan and Chinese goods, walk continues following the stream to reach our overnight stop at Samdo village from here it is close to the Tibetan border.

Day 12 :Trek to Larkya phedi at Dharamsala 4,460 m- 04 hrs.
Today a short good walk to the base of Larkya-la at phedi starting the morning following the river coming from Gya La, from here there's a trail on the right that leads to Tibet. Our adventure leads a straight reaching a small settlement at Larkya Bazaar then couple of hours walk from here leads to the overnight stop and for lunch at Dharamsala beneath bottom of Larkya pass.

Day 13 : Crossing Larkya -la at 5,200 m / 17,060 ft and to Bimthang3,720 m – 08 hrs
Crossing Larkya -la at 5,200 m / 17,060 ft and to Bimthang3,720 m – 08 hrs of strenuous climb and descend. Today the main high light of this wonderful adventure starting the long day with early morning walk by following a steep climb and towards four frozen glacial ponds walk continues to the top of Larkya La Pass at 5,200 m highest spot of this adventurous journey. Sometime the path here can be quite hard on snow condition while crossing moraines and glacier. But on a fine day when there is no snow walk will be moderate and adventurous traversing on this high altitude. The pass offers captivating panorama of Larke peak6,249 m, Manaslu North 7,157 m and of Salpudanda Glacier the pass is festooned with Buddhist prayer flags, after a great moment here at the top descend towards a magnificent green valley surrounded by rhododendron and pine trees at Bhimthang for overnight stop after a vigorous 8 hours trek.

Day 14 :Trek to Gho 2,560m – 05 hrs.
After breakfast on this beautiful spot trek leads crossing a glacier stream and with a climb over moraine then descending on pleasant path through meadows and forest of pine and rhododendron trees reaching at Gho for overnight stop, this small settlement surrounded by enchanting forest.

Day 15 :Trek to Dharapani 1,860 m – 05 hrs.
A leisure day walk on the downhill trail to Dharapani passing the Tilche village by Marshyangdi River, around this area are the Manang people rich in Tibetan Buddhist traditions and culture. From this village walk is easier with short uphill climb to large village of Dharapani for overnight stop check into the lodge with opportunity for hot showers as this place is popular on the Annapurna circuit trekking route.

Day 16 :Trek to Jagat 1,290 m – 05 hours.
Today the last day walk of this remarkable adventure offering pleasant trek on the gradual trail passing several nice villages of Tal Besi and Tal Karte and Sattale. This good walk descends to cross a suspension bridge over raging Marshyangdi River overlooking fabulous views of Annapurna Himalaya range of mountains, then walking through lush green forest following Marshyangdi River downstream with a gradual downhill walk to Jagat village for overnight stop this village also with a same name of Manaslu area.

Day 17 :Drive to Kathmandu through Beshisahar – 08 hrs journey.
A last day in the Himalayan mid hills after breakfast drive on the dirt road for few hours passing through several farm villages and to the large town of Beshishar the headquarter of Lamjung district from here on the good road to Kathmandu with an interesting scenic drive then finally reaching at Kathmandu after completing this mesmerizing awesome adventure with Nepal Himalayan Sherpa Adventure.

Day 18 :International departure for home ward bound.
After a fantastic time in Nepal Himalaya and with great service and expert guidance of Adventure Great Himalaya as per the flight time our staff will transfer to international airport for the flight home or to respective destination .
